View Wilson County 24-Hour Releases

The Wilson County 24 hour release list is the first official place to check who was released in the last 24 hours from county jail custody. It is a rolling activity view, so it is not the same as a calendar-day report or a permanent archive. Wilson County same-day release entries also share the view with jail intake activity. Each event must be read before drawing a conclusion. A new release may not appear at once, and a county release can be a transfer into another agency's custody rather than freedom in the community.

Wilson County 24-Hour Release View

WCSO publishes an exact Jail Intake/Release view for the last 24 hours. The agency label matters. It is a mixed activity page, not a list containing only people who left custody. A displayed entry could describe an intake or a release event. Open and read the event before saying that a person was released. The window rolls with time, so an event can age off without becoming false or erased.

This view answers a feed question: what recent jail activity appears now? It does not replace a person-specific record search or the underlying booking and release sheet. A release may mean bond, time served, a court order, transfer to TDOC or another jail, or a detainer handoff. Those destinations are not interchangeable. If the release type or destination is not shown in the public result, WCSO Records is the right source for the existing record.

Allow for lag: WCSO does not publish the feed's refresh schedule, so confirm a just-processed release by phone or written record.

Check Wilson County Same-Day Releases

Use the official routes in order. This keeps a short-window check from turning into a guess based on roster absence. A booking number is the safest county identifier when it appears in a live result or record. With a common name, compare all available identity details and the event date. Do not select a result solely because the name looks right.

  1. Open the WCSO 24-hour Intake/Release route and note that its window is rolling, not midnight to midnight.
  2. Inspect the event or detail and distinguish intake activity from release activity.
  3. Check the identity against a booking number, date information, or case detail that is actually shown.
  4. If the event has already aged out, open Search Inmates, enter First Name and Last Name, and select Released.
  5. Call Wilson County Jail at 615-444-1412 option 1 for immediate custody status when the portal is delayed or unclear.
  6. Use the same number, option 2, to request an existing booking and release record when the release type or destination matters.

The full Wilson County search path for one named person also checks court disposition, TDOC, VINE, and the agency that received a transfer. That broader path is covered on the Wilson County released-inmate search. The same-day feed should remain focused on recent county jail events.

Wilson 24-Hour Release Fields

The research verified the portal routes and the name-search controls. The live result cards invoked a Turnstile challenge, and WCSO's public text did not document each card field. For that reason, only the verified interface facts belong in the field table. Common release-sheet fields such as release time, release type, destination, and booking number should be requested when they are not visible. They must not be claimed as guaranteed online fields.

Verified itemWhat it establishes
Last 24 hours labelThe page covers a rolling short window of jail activity.
Intake/Release labelThe view mixes arrivals and departures; every event needs review.
First Name controlThe separate Search Inmates route accepts a first name.
Last Name controlThe separate route accepts a last name.
Released checkboxThe name search can target released records outside the short feed.

The official Wilson County Released search shows the verified name and Released controls used beyond the short window.

Wilson County released inmate name search controls

The capture supports the First Name, Last Name, and Released controls. It does not establish the live card fields, photo display, update cadence, or long-term record retention.

Note: Preserve the portal's exact label and the time checked because a rolling window changes even when no record is corrected.

Wilson Release Portal's Three-Step Funnel

Wilson County offers a useful sequence that is more precise than treating one roster as a full archive. Start with the 24-hour view for the newest activity. Move to the separately labeled 72-hour view when the event may be older. Then use the Released-checkbox name search for an event beyond those rolling windows. This is the portal's distinctive strength.

Each step has a boundary. The short pages are activity views, not permanent history. The online retention of the Released search is not published. A Turnstile challenge may also block or delay access. If a result cannot be reached, that is an access issue rather than proof of custody or release. Use the WCSO phone and record route instead of treating an empty screen as an answer.

The wider Wilson County 72-Hour Releases page is useful when the event may have fallen outside the same-day window. For still older events, go straight to the name search and ask for the existing booking and release sheet.

Mobile Alerts for Wilson Releases

WCSO officially promotes the free MobilePatrol app as another local channel. Its published description verifies two functions: users can view inmates and set notifications on release. An earlier agency announcement describes Inmate Information and Victim Notification. This makes the app useful for following one person when the website is inconvenient.

The official copy does not confirm a recent-release tab, mugshot display, record retention, or an instant alert schedule. Those features should not be promised. A MobilePatrol notice is also not the written county release record. After an alert, check the named event in WCSO's portal or call the jail, especially if another hold or transfer may apply.

WCSO's earlier MobilePatrol announcement is the available official source for inmate information and victim notification. VINE is a separate notification route linked by the sheriff and may cover a participating county or TDOC source. Read the agency on any alert so a state-prison event is not mistaken for a Wilson County Jail release.

Note: The verified app functions are inmate viewing and release alerts; photo display and a recent-release tab remain unconfirmed.

Wilson Release Record Fallbacks

When no online result appears, first decide which system might hold the person. For Wilson County Jail status, call 615-444-1412 option 1. For a durable booking or release sheet, use option 2 for WCSO Records. Provide the full name, an appropriate date of birth, booking number if known, and approximate booking or release dates. Ask for existing fields showing the admission, recorded release date and time, release reason, and destination if those fields exist.

No WCSO page reviewed published a release-record request email, fee schedule, turnaround, public office hours, or photo-specific policy. Ask for the accepted request channel and a cost estimate. Tennessee public-record rules may require a written copy request and proof of Tennessee citizenship. The seven-business-day rule is a response framework, not a promise that every record will arrive within seven days.

For a possible state transfer, search TDOC FOIL and read Assigned Location with Supervision Status. An Incarcerated status at a TDOC location means county custody ended but confinement continued. For a release alert, check Wilson's Tennessee VINE route and confirm the agency on the event. No-result pages from FOIL, VINE, BOP, or ICE are not interchangeable proof of release.

A direct call answers an immediate status question, while the written sheet preserves the event for later use. Ask whether the record states a release reason and receiving agency. If WCSO directs the caller to another custodian, record that destination and continue there instead of treating the county departure as the end of all custody.

Wilson Release or Continued Custody

A person can leave the Wilson County Jail roster without entering the community. Transfer to TDOC, another county, federal custody, or an immigration detainer ends one agency's custody and starts or continues another. The county release record's destination is therefore critical. When WCSO shows release activity but FOIL shows incarceration, compare dates and treat a documented TDOC destination as a transfer.

A court order answers what the court authorized. It does not prove the gate process finished or that no other hold applied. Conversely, a current roster entry supports continuing county custody but may lag a recent event. The safest same-day conclusion combines the portal event, a direct jail check, and the booking or release sheet when the destination matters.

Release labels also have different meanings. Bond means custody ended subject to the pending court case. Time served refers to confinement already counted toward a sentence. Parole is supervised community release before a state sentence expires. Probation comes from a court order. A dismissal concerns the case, while a transfer or detainer handoff shows that custody continued under another authority. Preserve the agency's exact term instead of reducing all of them to “got out.”

Read the destination: Released from Wilson County Jail means that custody ended. It does not always mean release to the community.
